San Cristobal de Patate, Tungurahua
The Foundation Arte del Mundo is located at 15 minutes from Patate, is a wonderful valley town in Central Ecuador, just south of the equator, sitting at Tungarahua Province. It is known for its beautiful sceneries, abundant greenery, gastronomy and a variety of fruits and plants. The city is at an elevation of approximately 2.270 m de altitude. The temperature year round is between 61 and 67 degrees (16 to 16.5 celcius).
There is a diverse selection of restaurants, making it easy to accommodate all diets. The locals are welcoming and friendly, and are always glad to help out.
The local currency is USD, and Spanish is the native language. All necessary amenities can be found in Patate. There is a public hospital and private clinics, a post office, banks with ATM's, and some travel agencies. Transportation is easy and inexpensive. With a bus or a taxi you can get anywhere you want to go.
